You could try head bands and maybe tease the back of your hair a little. Thats not exactly and updo but it looks great anyway. Theres lots of ways you can style short hair. By crimping, curling and all that. Braids would look good as well. you could probably be able to take a section of hair on the top of your head and french braid it into a little bump and clip it with a few bobby pins and curl in the ends of your hair and use a lot of hairspray so that it stays good. :)
Scrunch it! take a little mousse and rub it through your hair, and you get instant beachy- waves. Perfect for summer too.
