How do you retouch relaxer on short hair?

I understand you're no supposed to relax previously relaxed hair, but how am I supposed to avoid this when I have moderately short hair? How do you retouch relaxer on short hair?
It's recommended that you wait 6-8 weeks before touching up your hair with a relaxer. This is so you'll have enough new growth so you can visibly tell between the relaxed hair and new growth and won't overlap. You can always have a professional do it for you, or, if you have a hair school in your area then that will be cheaper. If there are parts, like the back of your head, that you need to see then you can have a trusted friend apply the relaxer as long as they don't overlap, but that's if you trust them enough. If you overlap then your hair will fall out, beleive me, I've been there and done that - TWICE!How do you retouch relaxer on short hair?
You have to be very careful or have some one else apply the relaxer who will have a better visual and more control. Other than that, try putting a neutralizer like Roux Porosity Control on the relaxed portion first, it will protect the hair from overprocessing if you accidently get relaxer on your hair.
I am sorry but i wouldnt follow the previous posters advice by flat ironing the hair. I would try and relax the root as best as i could, people relax short hair all the time I shouldnt be too much of a hassle another thing you could do is wait a little while so that the hair can grow a little bit longer and then relax that way you will have more room
you should purchase Soft %26amp; Beautiful's Extend-a-Perm. It works great with any type of relaxer. Just following the application by flat ironing your hair on a 200 degree temperature setting.
