Why do dogs with short hair seem to shed more than long haired dogs? I had a pointer mix with very short hair

who shed constantly and I dog-sat for a miniature pinscher who shed constantly, too. But my friends who have dogs with long hair say they don't shed much.Why do dogs with short hair seem to shed more than long haired dogs? I had a pointer mix with very short hair
dogs with longer hair are usually shed-free and hypo-allergenic...they dont shed and and they dont have any dander

long hairded dogs, like australian shepherds, goldens etc. shed twice a year.....





labs, shepherds etc.. shed all year long... many people make the mistake of getting a short haired dog because they dont want hair all around,,,, SURPRISE TO THEM.... lol
