What is the difference between long hair and short hair cat?

I have three cats, 2 of them shed loads of hairs and the other hardly. Does not mean the 3rd cat is short haired? What is the difference between long hair and short hair cat?
i dont really no but hope you find out you answerWhat is the difference between long hair and short hair cat?
Long haired cats have long fur Short haired cats have short fur
The length of their hair?
it means that one has long hair and the other has short hair
the difference is the length of the hair! if they have short hair, then they're short haired and if they have long hair they are long haired. out of all my cats i've found that the short haired ones shed the most.
HI.

There is no difference between a short haired cat and a long haired cat in the amount they shed. If you look at your cats it should be pretty obvious if they are long haired or short haired. One is obviously more fluffy than the other!!
No, it's just that two of your cats moult and one doesn't - it's just like dogs, some breeds moult and others don't.

The difference between short haired and long haired cats would have been fairly obvious I hope! lol
Well it really is just definied by the length of the cats hair, you will know if you have a long haired cat or if you have a short haired cat.
One cat has hair that is longer than the other cat.. thats the usual way i seperate them
The only difference is the actual length of the hair. Something like a Persian is a long haired cat, a Siamese is shorthair, to give you an example. The amount of fur that is shed is all up to the individual cat.
long haired cats have LONG HAIR

short haired cats have SHORT HAIR.
Long and short haired cats will shed a fair amount of hair. Long haired ones tend to need more grooming as they have more of a problem and can get matted fur. Short haired ones groom themselves quite well, but I like to help them out by brushing them too as they can get fur-balls and cough up what can look like small mice.
About 5 inches
lenth of it coat, the long haired will need to be brushed and groomed every day. Short haired will not need grooming
Long haired cats have longer hair. Expect to see it everywhere. Brush the cats (long haired ones) regularly to reduce the amount you see all over your house. A short haired cat just has shorter hair. You won't see too much of it around.
long haired cats need alot of grooming to avoid matting, they also malt more and it clogs your hoover
all as i think is your cats have diffrent layers of skin some shed and some dont it doent make them a long haired cat ora short haired cat they just have more or less hair on there body............thats your amwser
A long haired cat has longer hair about 2 or 3 inches whereas a short haired cats is only about 1 inch. However they can both shed lots of hair it doesnt matter on the legth.
About 2 inches.
